In her Tuesday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gabrielle Union did not only refer to herself as a “connoisseur” of strip clubs but she also revealed the highest amount of cash she has splashed while patronizing the services of such an establishment.
The 48-year-old actress and author told host Jimmy Kimmel she used to step out with her friends about “10 or 15 times in a year” prior to the onset of the pandemic, PEOPLE reported.
She then mentioned Magic City as one of the strip clubs she frequents and described the well-known Atlanta-based adult entertainment establishment as a “welcoming place.” She also light-heartedly said the workers there are familiar with her.

Asked the most she has “ever dropped in an evening at one of those places”, the veteran actress replied saying, “Probably 10 or 20 thousand.”
“You don’t really think about it because — the booze,” she added. “And you just want to make sure all the ladies go home with a little something.”
Despite being a “fan” of such places, the Being Mary Jane actress said strip clubs haven’t really been a thing for her husband Dwyane Wade. “I think in the beginning when we first started hanging out, I would see some of his teammates — who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are — but he would be like, ‘No, I’m gonna go home,’” she said.
“It was something we kind of did in the beginning,” she continued, adding that it’s usually a “solo operation” or a place she goes with friends.
Elsewhere in the interview, Union also opened up on the early stages of her relationship with Wade and how she thought the retired basketball star professed his love for her on their first date, UPI reported.
“The first night, I swore he said ‘I love you’ — perhaps there was alcohol involved,” she recalled. “At the end of the night, we embrace, definitely thought I heard him say, ‘I love you.’ So, I don’t respond. I was like, too soon.”
“The next day I was like, I don’t want the weekend to be weird. So I was like, ‘Hey, about what you said last night. I love you, too,’” she added.
Years down the line, however, Union said her 39-year-old husband denied being the first to say “I love you.” “But once you open the door to the ‘I love yous,’ it never stops,” she said.
