Fintech expert, Ekezie, talks cyber security at Prime Business Africa’s SEEDS 3 Webinar – Guardian Nigeria

Fintech profesional, Mr Precious Ekezie will, during Prime Business Africa’s Socio-Economic and Entrepreneurship Development Series (SEEDS), discuss cybersecurity, its impact of fintech and place in national development.

The theme is “Tech Disruptions and Future of African Economies” and will be anchored by Eloine Barry of the African Media Agency.

Mr Ekezie, the chief operating officer and executive board member of the FinTech company, Callphone Limited, is one of the four core tech professionals selected by PBA for this month’s edition of SEEDS.

He is a computer scientist, a member of the Nigerian Computer Society.

CallPhone Limited, which Ekezie manages, owns Airvend, the brand which provides financial technology services across Nigeria.

A former IT Analyst with Nigerian Naval Dockyard, Ekezie is a Business Developer, Tech Negotiator, Crypto Enthusiast and agile project management expert.

The SEEDS, which is a monthly webinar organised by Prime Business Africa, Africa’s independent multimedia organisation, will hold virtually at 5pm on Tuesday, September 28, on the theme, “Tech Disruptions and African Economies.”

Ekezie will be joining the Lead Speaker Mr Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, General Partner at Future Africa and former managing director of Flutterwave to discuss tech disruptions and impact on sustainable economic growth diring the pandemic.

Other speakers are author, veteran journalist and former editor at New York Times, Ms Linda Hervieux ; and former ATCON President Mr Olusola Teniola.

Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Prime Business Africa, Dr Marcel Mbamalu, in a statement on Friday said: “As is the case with previous editions, the keynote speaker Mr Iyinoluwa Aboyeji who played critical role in founding the globally successful Flutterwave, and other guest speakers like Mr Ekezie of Callphone’s Airvend are carefully selected for this month’s discourse on tech disruptions and future of African economies. We are happy that the four speakers are eager to come on board and do justice to this very important topic that is germane to Africa’s survival post COVID-19 pandemic.”

Dr Mbamalu said that over 500 partcipants are expected to sign in for the event on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 by joining virtually via Zoom and Facebook live.
