South Africa is a water-poor country and waste and pollution are threatening the country’s precious supply.
The United Nation’s (UN) World Water Development Report said recently that nearly six billion people will suffer from clean water scarcity by 2050.
This is due to an increasing demand for water, the reduction of water resources and increasing water pollution — all driven by world population growth, which is expected to reach 9,7 billion by 2050.
